Welcome

Thank you for visiting the TandyDataProducts.com site.

The site ultimately serves as an archive and enthusiast site for the elusive and highly sought after TDP-100 and it’s accessories. UPDATE! the visual catalog of each item by Catalog # with specs, descriptions, any relevant history, and detailed images is now live you can click here to visit.

Between 1981 and 1982, the TDP System 100, or also know as TDP-100 or TDP S-100 was distributed by RCA to various non-Radio Shack stores. For the most part, it was virtually the same as the Color Computer with 16k RAM Extended except, it was white with black around the keyboard area up into onto case and had a different badge centered on the top of the case under the vents which were square instead of a long nameplate on the slope edge like the standard Color Computer. There are two versions noted, one with the “Chicklet Keyboard” and another with the “Melted Keyboard”.
One distinction is it appears to be the first released computer from Tandy with the F-style motherboard and it is believed the Color Computer 2 was modeled after the TDP-100 with its case venting and case color as well as what some call the “Melted Keyboard”.

Tandy also sold TDP branded accessories through RCA as well as used the name for some electronics parts in some Radio Shack stores like the TDP surge suppressor and some TV antenna filters and adapters. The computer accessories know to exist are as follows but if you know of more please send pictures, descriptions and catalog #s to mail@thetandyshack.com:

Tandy did not make the TDP machine for a long length of time nor in great numbers, so one could assume they were an experimental product that makes them fairly valuable to collectors and fairly hard to find.
